I'm very happy to announce that Michael Chapel's Habeas hearing has finally been scheduled! His case will be heard in Long County, GA on November 14, 2024. The news was shared by the Chapel family today through their Facebook group @FreeMikeChapel.
Chapel has been in prison for over 30 years for the 1993 murder of Emogene Thompson in Buford, GA. As discussed in my podcast IN THE LAND OF LIES, there is overwhelming evidence that not only is Michael Chapel innocent of the murder, but also that he did not receive a fair trial. In addition, there are other accusations that have been made such as prosecutorial misconduct In his 1995 trial.
